Come to the Ink People and get original art for fantastically low prices. Arts! Alive, Dec. 5, starting at 5 p.m. I know that Patricia Sennott will have great pieces. I'll post more about this as I get more information myself.

  1. Iris, I love these colors and how you made the orange/yellow shine with light. So beautiful!

  2. Just took another look at it and found that there is some of the greenish color behind the persimmon color around the top, and the moon - I left it there from the prior print, so it could be consider a ghost. The glow is the white of the paper coming through. Having the paper wet before printing also gives it more tones. This an embellished monotype that was first used for a transfer drawing - what you have here is the inverted image from the transfer drawing. If anyone can understand this rather confused explanation it would be you Annie! I'll post the related transfer drawing for you to see. Again, thanks for noticing and commenting.

  3. Annie, looking at the Moonlit Lucia transfer drawing, I now see that I added the green tones on the top of the corresponding monotype (are you with me?) afterwards. Well whatever way I did it - it was great fun and made used of these cool print making methods in fluid and experimental ways - for me.
